Welcome to UWL Netball

The University of West London provide a range of different sports based activities, which are designed to encourage, support and enable individuals to join a variety of different societies. This process will allow you to mix and build relationships with other peers from different courses, enable you to enjoy doing something that you love in more depth, not to mention you’ll create lots of memories as well as having fun and making your experience at University worth while.

Among the many activities the University provides, they also include a woman’s only Netball club, which is run every Monday evenings between the hours of 18:30-20:30pm at the Ealing Trailfinders Sports Ground, West Ealing W13 0DD Tennis Courts. Matches are run every Wednesdays from 2pm onwards and the team are part of the BUCS league and take much pride in the sport but also know how to have fun.

The team had a triumphant season in 2014/15 as they came 2nd in the league under the category ‘Sports Team of The Year’ as well as winning both games at the Varsity 2015 games. Charley Meston was also awarded ‘Sports Committee Member of The Year’ and the Ealing Eagles then went on to win the ‘UWLSU Sports team of The Year’ in 2015/16 as well as managing to train a 2nd UWL Netball team which now play in the BUCS league every season.

The current annual membership fee for this society is £70 as this gives you access to the UWL Netball Ealing Eagles, which covers BUCS, training, coaches, kit and insurance. Paying for your membership also enables you to participate in socials and get direct communication access from those who run the club. Other benefits from joining the Woman’s only Netball team is that you are able to go away to different countries where tournaments are based and face other opponents as well as embrace the culture of that country and have an amazing time. The team is currently getting prepared to go off too Italy in which they will face several other Netball teams in a one-week tournament.
