The UEFA Champions League is making its return in stadiums and on TVs in less that two weeks. The most prestigious competition in the European Football will see the teams facing the quarter finals.

Just in case it slipped your mind, here is a reminder of the eight clubs who are still in the competition: Juventus, FC Barcelona, Atlético Madrid, Real Madrid, Leicester City, Bayern Munich, Monaco and Borussia Dortmund. As you can see, we have two Spanish teams, two German, one Italian, one French and finally one British team.

On March 17th at 12pm, the quarter finals’ draw took place and the next two legs of the tournament were revealed. The followings are the dates to write down on your calendars if you don’t want to miss any on the matches:

The first leg will start on Tuesday 11th April at 19:45, when Juventus will face Barcelona in Turin at Juventus Stadium and Dortmund will face Monaco at their home stadium Westfalestadion. On Wednesday 12th April at the same time, Atlético Madrid will face Leicester City in Madrid, while Bayern Munich and Real Madrid will face each other at the Allianz Arena of Munich.

The second leg will start the following week, 18th April at 19:45 when Leicester City will challenge Atlético Madrid at King Power Stadium and Real Madrid will be up against Bayern Munich at Santiago Bernabéu Stadium. On Wednesday instead, we’ll have Monaco against Dortmund at Stade Louis II and Barcelona against Juventus at Camp Nou.

Today we are focusing on one of the draws, Juventus vs Barcelona. As you may know if you have been following the UEFA Champions League in the past months, Barcelona had a very remarkable comeback when they beat Paris Saint-German in the previous round and they are now onto the next one, when they will face a team they have never beaten in an away game.

Juventus lost the chance to win their third Champions League title on 6 June 2015 at the Olympiastadion, when Barcelona ran out 3-1 winners to take the trophy. That was the Spanish third win against Juventus since 1991 and the teams’ seventh and most recent contest.

Winning the UEFA Champions League title for the Bianconeri and their Old Lady would possibly mean closing the full circle as they are very close to winning all the other competition they are running at the moment, including the Italian league, which they have been leading for the past five years in a row.

The pressure is high for both the teams and the fans can feel it too. We asked a Juventus supporter to express his opinion on the matter, and this is what he told us:

As our interviewee said, Barcelona seem to be a little bit weaker than the past years while Juventus seem to have gained the confidence they need to win such a big title. All we can do now is wait and see what the quarter finals bring us.
